DAY 1 – URBINO

APrivate transfer from Rome, Bologna or Florence airport to Urbino. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided visit to Urbino, a town full of history and traditions. The Dukes’ Palace, begun in the second half of the 15th century by Federico II da Montefeltro, houses the Galleria Nazionale delle Marche, one of the most important collections of Renaissance paintings in the world. Balance of the day at leisure, dinner on own and overnight in Urbino.

DAY 2-TOLENTINO AN MACERATA

In the morning, private transfer to Tolentino with visit of this beautiful “borgo” and of its main highlights. Lunch on own in Tolentino. Afterwards, visit of Macerata, that presents some important historical attractions. In the late afternoon transfer to Numana, a wonderful centre on the coast. Check- in at your hotel. You will enjoy a dinner based on local products, above all fish specialties, in a restaurant overlooking the Adriatic Sea.

Tolentino city centre, with its wonderful cathedral, some houses that date back to the medieval age, the main square that was used as a meeting point in Roman times already, the Napoleon’s museum, the Rancia castle

Macerata with its historical centre, full of elegant palaces such as the Palazzo dei Diamanti, dating back to the XVI century, the Town Hall, built in the XVII century, the Amphitheatre.

DAY 3-LORETO, WINE ESTATE, CINGOLI AND THE COAST

In the morning, visit of Loreto, one of the most important centres of Christianity. After the visit, you will stop at Cantina Garofoli, one of the most ancient and famous wine estate of Italy. After that, you will proceed to visit Cingoli, the “terrace” of the region: it is listed in the group of the most beautiful villages of Italy and it presents several historical attractions that date back to the Renaissance mainly, above all the wonderful panorama. In the afternoon, time to relax over the beautiful promenade on the Adriatic coast in Numana. Dinner at leisure and overnight in Numana.

TOUR HIGHLIGHTS

Loreto central square, perfect summa of Christian symbols and important monuments:: the college of the Jesuits, the Palazzo Comunale (formerly the Palazzo Apostolico), designed by Bramante, with an art gallery with important art works, and the Shrine of the Holy House (Santuario della Santa Casa).

The Holy House in Loreto: the legend says that the house at Nazareth in which Mary had been born and brought up, was converted into a church by the apostles. The narrative further states that, threatened with destruction by the Turks, the house was carried by angels through the air and deposited in Loreto.

SPECIALS

A special tour and wine tasting in Cantina Garofoli, the oldest wine estate of the region: you will taste several kinds of wine, and above all the famous Verdicchio.

DAY 4-CAMERANO AND GRADARA

In the morning, transfer and visit of Camerano, where you will discover the history and the legend of an underground town built in the pre-roman age: you will meander through mazes, labyrinths, salons with beautiful frescos. Afterwards, you will proceed to Gradara, where you will visit the wonderful Rocca Malatestiana, a castle where the famous noble family of Malatesta lived. Lunch on own. In the afternoon, transfer back to Numana, dinner on own and overnight
